Paul and Clair

PAUL

Founder of Dough Disciples, Paul spent his career in booze! Wine is his speciality and in his last role he managed the UK, Ireland & Middle East markets for New Zealand winery Villa Maria. At the many festivals Paul sponsored in this role, he would often notice the huge queues for Pizza (and also the pretty average quality of the offering) and couldn’t help thinking he could do a better job. When Covid came along and changed everything, he decided it was time to put this to the test, and Dough Disciples was born. 

Paul is the Operations specialist and Dough-Man. Trained through Pizza Masterclasses with Marco Fuso (winner of World Pizza Championships & Pizza Chef of the Year) he ensures organisation, quality, consistency and efficiency from start to finish in making our top-notch Neapolitan Pizzas. 

CLAIRE

As the smiling professional face of the operation, Claire ensures quality service and an enjoyable interaction for your guests. Claire has spent her career in Human Resources and has a proper grown-up job in HR as well as being the face of Dough Disciples. 

Paul & Claire were school sweethearts and continue to enjoy life together at their home in Heworth, York, along with recent addition, Bonnie the Sprocker.
